Haaa.. Haaa.. I want to share this matter with you all.. In year2000 I had gone to NewDelhi for participating the U.T level Skill Competition for ITI holders (I've mentioned this in an other topic..) during this examination, I had to attend Viva-Vice.. A senior Professor(lady) of IGNOU had come as the External examinar.. When she was interviewing me, she asked many Questions in English.. Her speech was too fluent and too fast.. I was thinking that she was asking Qs in Hindi (since I couldn't understand her Very fluent English). So, I requested her, madam.. Please ask your Questions in English because I don't know Hindi.. She was laughing for a long time.. Then she said, Mr.Bala, I'm asking you in English only.. Then I requested her as, Madam, I studied thro Tamil medium only.. So, I couldn't understand your smart English.. So, pl ask your Qs little slowly.. Then she proceeded in MY ENGLISH.. After that, I changed myself.. (12 years ago)

When English people ruled our country they were sending their official letters/parcels etc to England without paying any cost in terms of Stamp.. A Seal was stamped on these letters as On Company Service @ O.C.S.. (like today's I.G.S only @ Indian Govt. Service only)... After this, the word 'o.c.s' was used by Indian people on someone who takes anything without paying.. After a long, the word o.c.s was shorted as o.c by our clever people... eeeee.. (12 years ago)
