i think , as current is the rate of flowing charge. So current is intensity.. I.e. 'I' thus, V is voltage and current is I (13 years ago)

yeah alien is right....electric current is the movement of flow of electric charge and is measured in Amperes, symbol "I" for intensity...whereas voltage is the potential energy of an electrical supply stored in the form of electrical charge...thus, the potential diff. between 2 points is measured in Volts with the symbol "V"...so acc. to Ohms law, V=RI, where R is the resistance (13 years ago)
